Triangle KD Appointed Officers

Triangle KD has fantastic board members but they need support to successfully plan and execute our events throughout the year. We have several opportunities for members to work as appointed officers. These offices often require a time commitment for only a portion of the year so please look for a position that matches your availability. It is possible to hold more than one appointed position if you are interested!

Collegiate Relations Committee

Beta Chi (UNC) Chair

Eta Upsilon (NC State) Chair

Eta Chi (Elon) Chair

Senior Induction Chair

  • Recommended to be someone on CAB for each collegiate chapter
  • Maintain close and frequent contact with local collegiate chapters through their alumnae relations chairs to determine ways in which the AC can best support the chapter
  • Coordinate alumnae support for chapter events especially recruitment, ritual events, and Shamrock
  • Help with arrangements for senior induction
    • Beginning in January, work with chapter alumnae relations chairs and seniors from each collegiate chapter to schedule senior induction ceremonies (or one joint ceremony)
    • Work with VP-Programming to coordinate food and rose purchases for ceremonies
    • Senior Induction Ceremonies should be scheduled by March 1st and should take place before the end of April

Philanthropy Committee

  • Encourage individual members and the AC to make donations to Kappa Delta Foundation by publicizing work of the foundation

Shamrock Chair

  • Work with Executive Board to plan, execute, and publicize a Shamrock Event
  • Serve as the liaison between Prevent Child Abuse America North Carolina (PCAA NC) and the AC
  • Work with VP-Finance to submit the Shamrock Participation Report Form, Final Report Form, and profits to Head Quarters and PCAA NC

Shamrock Past Chair– Rebecca Pollet

  • Assist and train new Shamrock Chair

Girl Scout Chair

  • Work to form a relationship with local troop(s)
  • Plan at least one event with a troop per year

Community Service Chair

  • Identify local agencies in need of support and schedule AC events to contribute- these events can include volunteering at a local organization or asking members to donate canned food, money, or other goods during an AC event

Triangle Alumnae Panhellenic Delegate

  • Represent the AC on the local alumnae Panhellenic board
  • Report Panhellenic news and activities to the AC members

Programming Committee

  • Work with VP-Programming to plan events and VP-PR to publicize events

Founders’ Day Chair

  • Coordinate Founders’ Day event on or around October 23
  • Should be business casual attire
  • Purchase (will be reimbursed) white roses for ceremony

International Women’s Friendship Month Chair

  • Coordinate at least one event to celebrate IWFM
  • Event should be open to all female friends AC members would like to bring
  • Work with other area AC’s or collegiate chapters on combined events

Membership Welcoming Committee

  • Work with VP-Membership to contact new or inactive members, answer any questions about the AC, and offer to set up a casual meeting with them
  • Ideally we would have representatives from around the Triangle on the committee

Book Club Hostess

  • Form a book club from Triangle AC members and facilitate meetings as often as members are interested in

Lunch Meet-up Chairs

  • Work with Executive Board members to plan a weekday lunch meet-up three times per year- likely in October, March, and June

Children’s Playdate Chair

  • Work with other AC members with children to coordinate playdates for similarly aged children

Recommendations Chair

  • Send references for local women to collegiate chaptes
  • Include name in the online Reference Assistance Directory

Sunshine Chair

  • Work with VP-Administration to send out get-well, condolence, and congratulatory messages to members
  • Order flowers for sisters as needed for possible events listed above

Magazine Program Chair

  • Work with VP-PR to encourage members to purchase magazines to benefit the Chapter House Fund
  • Set up chapter’s sales site
  • Apprise members of special subscription officers

Alumnae Newletter/Webmaster

  • Work with VP-PR to maintain information on the current website
  • Update pictures on website
  • Work with VP-Administration to add password protected link for member contact list
